Northline Seafoods’ cornerstone vessel, the Hannah, is a marvel – visually spectacular, awe-inspiring, and dynamic in every sense. At a remarkable four hundred feet in length and one hundred feet wide, the freezer barge is a sight to behold; she combines remarkable engineering with cutting-edge technology, bringing every aspect of the wild seafood freezing process into one vessel.
The Hannah is a vertically integrated freezer barge that efficiently freezes, transports, and stores up to 10 million pounds of whole salmon. With game-changing technology and rapid at-sea processing, she’s not just a vessel; she’s a force—revolutionizing the way wild seafood is handled, from sea to table.
Each spring, the Hannah embarks on a cyclical journey, migrating from Washington state to Bristol Bay. At season’s end, she returns to port in Bellingham, where the catch is stored, thawed, and processed on demand to meet buyers’ specific needs.
This journey mirrors the natural cycle of salmon, ensuring that every step of the process – from catch to delivery – is seamlessly integrated and aligned with the rhythm of the wild.

The Miss Molly, the sister vessel to the Hannah, has earned a reputation for excellence in its own right. In recent years, she has become a crucial part of our floating operations on the Bristol Bay fishing grounds, serving as a buying and storage vessel as well as providing essential ice and support services to our fleet.
With a daily slurry-ice generation capacity of 120 tons and a fish-holding capacity of 400,000 pounds, the Miss Molly plays a key role in supporting Northline’s fishing fleet.
First operational in 2023, the Miss Molly continues its essential role as a trusted partner to the Hannah and a cornerstone of the Northline Seafoods operation, supporting the company’s mission every step of the way.
